Stupid

I don’t know if any of you have seen this video, it has gone viral:

Caution: this video is not recommended for all viewers. I DO NOT recommend showing this to young children or those who may decide to copy the actions seen here. PLEASE do not attempt this yourself!

I actually saw it the day this happened. I have to say, sitting there watching it, I was upset and even angry. What I have learned since hasn’t made this any better. Continue reading

Bed Time?

I know, I know. I’ve been gone for ages again. It’s not for lack of things to say, it’s simply because we’ve been crazy busy. This reminds me why autumn is my favorite time of year and not spring. The temperatures are similar, but the activity level is so much higher now. Continue reading

Blasts From the Past

Back when I was a pre-teen (or in today’s lingo a “tween”) there were some movies and songs (outside of my preferred genre) that I enjoyed at the time, but haven’t really thought about in years. Lately, with L entering this age range, these things have begun cropping up again. This past week I have been repeatedly hit with blasts from the past. Continue reading

I Have Been Sentenced to Life

To be served in elementary school. Last night, it struck me. I have been given a life sentence. I have been actively involved in the elementary school my boys attend for four years now, since L was enrolled. With another niece/nephew on the way, I have twelve years to go. Continue reading

Tired Kids: A Not So Good Thing

When I am tired, I slow down and, if I sit, it is hard to get up and moving again. I tend to get a little cranky, a lot clumsy, and close to cracking my jaws repeatedly by yawning. My eyes get heavy, my breathing slows down. My body prepares itself for sleep. To me, this seems pretty normal.
Before my kids came along, I thought fatigue hit everyone in a similar way. Continue reading

What is it Wednesday

I don’t know if anyone’s noticed or not, but I usually have a really hard time coming up with post ideas on Wednesdays. Any other day, I usually have 1000 things to say. For some reason, Wednesday is always the day my brain shuts down. Because of this, I have decided to use random pictures, either ones I have taken myself or ones I have found online, and post them Continue reading

I Guess I’m “It”

I can SEE!! As of today after school, I can see my stats, your posts, my posts, comments, and likes. I’m even receiving emails from WordPress again!
I see that my day 1 to day 4 “what the heck is going on?” updates didn’t post despite my efforts. I came up with about 100 things a day to post about while I couldn’t post (isn’t that always the way?) from race details to comfy clothes to schoolyard injuries. I’m sure I’ll get to those at some point, but since they’re not TODAY’S thoughts, I’m going to write about being Continue reading

Testing

On day 5 now. As of last night, still couldn’t read or write any posts. Could see my stats this morning, so that must be a positive sign. Hoping this is due to upgrades. I can’t wait until this site starts working again…. No matter how dark the day, the sun is always shining somewhere!
